In 2002, Today magazine was redesigned by UF News & Public Affairs. The editors wanted a clean, updated look with lots of white space and large, beautiful photos. With this feature story I had many beautiful photographs to choose from — a good problem. This boy stood out from the rest, but I did not want to detract from the photograph, so I chose to screen back the headline, as if it was part of the sky.
