Isolation reflects my state of mind during the pandemic of 2020. The constant bombardment of bad news; Covid, politics and Black Lives Matter. Every day there was bad news. The only respite from all of this was my little table top press and my garden. I purchased wood type and started playing with the press, overlapping words from the news. I also started adding plants and a small vegetable garden to my backyard. These were the only activities that kept me sane during the pandemic. 

Size: 5 X 9 inches closed, extends to 19.5 inches. One-of-a-kind, Flag book structure. Printed on Rives BFK and Strathmore with wood type. Pressure prints and linoleum relief prints on Mohawk Superfine. Printed on two presses, artist’s proof press and a Vandercook Universal 1 during a residency at In Cahoots Residency in Petaluma, California.
